Screen Brightness not able to adjust after new version - Guest - 09-26-2010 12:54 AM

Even since the new update to the free version, I have not been able to adjust my screen brightness.

I am using a HP MINI 210 with windows 7 starter.

Everything worked just fine before the new update.Angry

I'm not sure how that could happen. There's no code in the software that has anything to do with screen brightness. The Pro version does have a feature that allows you to change the power scheme when either plugged in or not. If you set it to switch to High Performance, that may affect the screen brightness.

OK! Thanks for the info. Battery Bar was the only thing that updated since my brightness adjustment stopped working.

Usually, when I change power profiles from "High" to "HP Recommended" the screen would automatically dim. Now the profiles don"t change the brightness and the keyboard buttons don"t work to dim the display either.

I will try to check what else it might be.

Thanks again for your info!!

You can always try to uninstall BatteryBar, reboot and check if the issue disappears.
