Does taking out the battery mess up BatteryBar's time estimate? - Chris - 11-17-2009 02:25 PM

BatteryBar can only keep track of the data available to it while the computer is running. So, the time remaining estimates will be based on your actual usage. If you recharge the battery while it is disconnected from the laptop or recharge it while it's sleeping or off, then BatteryBar won't be able to capture that data. If you take the battery out at say, 50%, and use it while on A/C, then put it back in and run it down more, BatteryBar will properly keep track of that.

Open %APPDATA%\BatteryBar (via My Computer address bar) and open the BatteryBar.Profiles.xml file to see the data stored for each percentage. If you see lots of "0"s that indicates a jump in percentage that will skew your results.
