BatteryBar Toolbar Disappears
Hello all,
I own a laptop and whenever I use it at home, I take the battery out to conserve battery life. I absolutely love this program because before, my laptop did not show the time remaining for the battery (apparently no HP laptop does, that I know of). I've had my laptop for 3 years (on the 11th), and i must admit, it feels like my laptop is finally complete. Well anyways, like i said, I take take the battery out very often and what I noticed is that when I take the battery out and put it back in while the BatteryBar is running, the BatteryBar toolbar disappears. Afterwards, I have to go back into the toolbars and reactivate it. When I take it out, it says no battery detected. After I put it back in, the toolbar disappears instantly. Thats the only bug that I found so far. I'm using v3.3.3 And one more thing, did I mention that you are reading my signature? |

RE: BatteryBar Toolbar Disappears
Are you using BatteryBar Pro? If so, turn off the feature "Turn off BatteryBar when battery is fully charged."
Otherwise, you can generate a debug report for me to review. The steps are here: http://osirisdevelopment.com/wiki/Submit_a_bug_report |

RE: BatteryBar Toolbar Disappears
UPDATE: The BatteryBar toolbar only disappears when I take the battery out while the laptop is in sleep mode. After waking up, a sound is made followed by the disappearance of the toolbar. I can not submit the bug via the way you mentioned because after the toolbar disappears, the 'Enable Debug Logging' becomes unchecked.

If you turn on debug logging before you go to sleep and repeat the error, you should be able to turn it off again after coming out of sleep. If not, it's not a big deal, you can either send me the log file: %APPDATA%\BatteryBar\BatteryBar.log Or you can go to Preferences -> Tools -> Send a feedback report and that will automatically attach the log file. Please include your name and information about the error in the comments section. |
