Why I Am Abandoning BatteryBar (and going back to FREE software...)
In a different thread I documented a problem with BatteryBar that it migrates along the toolbar, which is (a) ugly and (b) reduces the useful area of the taskbar that can be used by other programs.
It appears that this problem is not likely to be fixed, so I've decided to abandon Batterybar, a program I paid for, and am going back to Lenovo's free Battery toolbar, which although has less functionality than BatteryBar, at least doesn't perform the ridiculous wandering along the taskbar routine, which, sadly, for my uses makes Batterybar pretty much a useless program. I've included a screenshot below so you can see what I mean. ![]() Shame, I liked Batterybar. |

I'm sorry for the problems you've had. If I knew how to resolve the issue, I would do it right now. If you would like a refund for your purchase, please contact me directly.
To clarify one point, BatteryBar has a free version as well. |

I just installed the free version (3.3.3) and it stays always in the right side, no matter how many programs are open. I have win7 32 bits in toshiba A200.

RE: Why I Am Abandoning BatteryBar (and going back to FREE software...)
This may be a stupid question, but I am trying to achieve exactly what you are complaining about! I want something migrate with my taskbar. I tried dragging it from the sidebar to the taskbar but every time I use the taskbar again the icon moves behind the taskbar! How do I get it to stay on top of the taskbar? I did enable "Always on top" but it just made it worse because then there was no way to get it back from under the taskbar except changing the display theme! I tried both the free and trial versions.

You are using the "Floating Toolbar" version. If you want it on your taskbar, then you MUST use the "Taskbar toolbar" version.

noetus -- please check your original thread for my personal temporary solution. Maybe you'll like it.
It's a bit disappointing to see that no solution's been found for this issue after more than a year, but hopefully my chiming in with a reminder will hasten a fix. [-: Cheers, Chris. BatteryBar is otherwise fantastic. |

RE: Why I Am Abandoning BatteryBar (and going back to FREE software...)
As I said before, I am not aware of a way to fix it; there's certainly nothing in the API that I've found to do it. Perhaps I need to farm it out to a freelancer to find a solution or change the way BatteryBar is drawn to the taskbar.
