Beta 2 was just released with several fixes that were identified from the last beta release. Please update and let me know if your issues were resolved.

"battery bar was unable to load stored data; battery bar will continue to operate, but your battery usage information will no be saved"

No sign of the battery bar either, though it's ticked in the Toolbars.

Tried un-installing completely and trying again, but same thing happens. The error seems to pop up just as license.txt is installed

Installed 3.3.3 again and it works fine

Running Windows 7

same thing happening still Confused - install goes all the way through this time, kills explorer and the stops. I restart explorer using task manager, but then get the same message about unable to load stored data

Could you try installing 3.4.0 beta as the floating toolbar to see if that works? If it does,

1. turn on debug logging (hold SHIFT while right-clicking on BatteryBar to show the option to enable it)
2. then close the floating toolbar and reinstall as the taskbar toolbar. The option should stay enabled.
3. After getting the error message...
4. Open My Computer
5. Type in the address bar: %APPDATA%\Batterybar
6. Send me batterybar.log

RE: BatteryBar 3.4.0 Beta Released
Hi!
I've just bought BatteryBar Pro(yesterday), because of the forced discharge rate estimation. But not matter if I enable it or not, I see 0mW as discharge rate a lot. Only a few times I can see the estimated rate(let say in 30% of time).
I have HP Mini 311.

The estimated discharge rate takes some time to calculate, perhaps as much as a minute after changing your power source.

To better diagnose the issue, you'll need to generate a debug log for me. Follow these steps:
http://osirisdevelopment.com/wiki/Submit_a_bug_report

In step 3, reproduce the issue, make sure that you run BatteryBar long enough for the rate estimation to turn on and off, preferably more than once. You can leave the logging on for a long period of time, hours or more, if you need to.

I was the Guest with discharge rate.
I've sent the feedback through batterybar, 15 minutes was enough to get some discharge rate, and then 0mW again.

Tried installing as a floating bar, but still get the same error about opening data Sad

I had this issue as well, first reboot after enabling 'Hide batterybar when the battery is fully charged'... downgraded to 3.3.3, unchecked this option, upgraded to 3.4.0 again and all was back to normal...

excellent!! this worked great for me! Had the latest beta installed (broken), reinstalled 3.3.2 over the top, battery bar appeared, unticked that option, ran the beta install again, explorer process restarts properly and beta is properly installed!

Thanks for this!
