No trial on new installation
Just downloaded & installed Battery Bar from your website and tried to activate the 30-day trial of the Pro version and was told the 30-day period had expired. The trial option no longer shows up for me, yet I just downloaded & installed it today. There are no prvious version of Battery Bar on the computer.

RE: No trial on new installation
The first release of 3.4.0 beta 2 had a problem communicating with the servers. That may have caused the issue. I released a fix earlier today for that problem. You should uninstall BatteryBar, choose Yes when asked to delete profile data, then reinstall BatteyBar. You should see the option to activate the trial again. BEFORE you do that,

1. Hold SHIFT then right-click on BatteryBar
2. Click on "Enable Debug Logging"
3. Try to activate the trial
4. Repeat 1-2
5. Fill in your info in the feedback form along with comments like "tried to activate trial"

That'll send me a log file of what happened when trying to activate the trial so I can see what's going on.

RE: No trial on new installation
It isn't the beta version: it's version 3.3.3.

I've uninstalled & reinstalled it again, with the following result:

"BatteryBar trial validation error. Your BatteryBar Pro trial has expired. Thank you for trying BatteryBar Pro. BatteryBar will now return to the Free version."

If I hold Shift when right-clicking BatteryBar, trial activation is not an option.

RE: No trial on new installation
Holding SHIFT activates the debug logging feature, not the trial activation. As I said in my post above, you need to follow the steps to enable debug logging BEFORE you activate the trial.

The latest beta version includes some additional logging capabilities that capture more information about what's being sent/received from the servers that I can use to review your specific case.

It will help me to review this issue if you can:

1. Uninstall BatteryBar and delete profile data
2. Install version 3.4.0 beta
3. While BatteryBar is running, hold SHIFT, right-click on BatteryBar and select "Enable Debug Logging"
4. Right-click on BatteryBar and choose "Activate 30 Day Trial..."
5. After you receive the error message, repeat step 3 to disable debug logging
6. Fill out the form that appears with your information and comments to send the log to me.

Thanks

RE: No trial on new installation
I am not using 3.4.0 Beta - I am using 3.3.3 stable. I do not want to install the Beta version - sorry, but I install only stable software on my computer.

I cannot do as you have asked, because the trial activation is not even an option. I have SHIFT right-clicked to activate debugging mode - when I do that and right-click BatteryBar again, "Activate 30 Day Trial..." is not displayed.

Regardless, I have sent a report anyway, even though trial activation is not displayed or even an option, only Upgrade to Pro is shown.
