License questions
Hi,

after one year with the free version, I purchased yesterday the Pro upgrade. But how does the license system work exactly? There's an option to put the license to another PC. So far, so good. But what happens if I reinstall my laptop with a new hard drive and another OS (from XP to W7)? How is the license key connected to the PC?

I also read in the Translation Tool (btw: up to date German XML file is coming soon) that there are messages like "key has been activated too many times" and "key was already activated today". Today I had to uninstall my BatteryBar and had to use my license key again, so if I uninstall it again today and reactivate it the message appears again?

Thanks in advance,
SaltyDog

RE: License questions
The license can be activated on one computer at a time. If you put in the license key on another computer, you'll be told that the license is already activated and you'll be asked if you want to transfer the license. If you click Yes, the license will activate on the computer. The other computer will automatically revert back to the free version.

If you reinstall Windows, you'll be given the same prompt and clicking Yes will activate the license. So, you can install the license wherever you want, but it can only be activate on one computer at a time.

Some of those translation strings were from an earlier version that used a different licensing system, but I've kept them in there in case I make any changes in the future (such as giving out one license key that can be activated on multiple computers at the same time rather than a separate key for each laptop).

I hope that clarifies the situation. There is a licensing terms section on the Purchase page and some additional information in the 'documentation' tab. If those aren't clear enough I can look into making changes.
