How to I change from "floating" back to "taskbar" in 3.5?
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd try BatteryBar Pro's "floating" option when it was offered during the upgrade. After trying it, I decided that I prefer BatteryBar in the Taskbar. However, I cannot find where to change it back to taskbar in the preferences. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Best regards, Scott |

RE: How to I change from "floating" back to "taskbar" in 3.5?
It's not a preference, it's actually a completely different application. When you run the installer it installs the application you chose and not the other. The reason for this is that it's not possible to have both running at the same time because they'll both try to access the same settings and profile files, causing file locking conflicts and odd behavior.
So, just re-run the installer and choose the Taskbar toolbar. It'll preserve your settings and profiles. |

OK, I got the change made. I'd like to make a suggestion that this be an option selected in the preferences rather than having to reinstall the app. Also, I would think this should be listed in the documentation/readme.txt file.
Thanks for your help. Best regards, Scott |

I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately, from a technical perspective, it's not that easy. As I said, they are actually two separate applications and having them both installed at the same time is problematic. Still, I'll look into it and see if there's some way to manage it.

Would it be possible to install both application, but only allow one to be active during a session?
Then there could be an entry, maybe under General, to toggle which one. |
