RE: wrong remaning time.Wrong full time.
BatteryBar uses historical data collected as you use your laptop to determine the time remaining. In other words, "Time Remaining" is short for: "Based on past history, when the battery had x% remaining, the battery lasted approximately x hours and x minutes".
Windows just takes the capacity divided by the current discharge rate. The discharge rate can fluctuate quite dramatically from moment to moment, so the time remaining can jump all over the place. Basically, Windows is saying, "Assuming that your computer continues to use the exact amount of power that it's currently using for the rest of the life of the battery, you'll have x hours and x minutes remaining." Unfortunately, your discharge rate is never constant. So, my challenge to you: Take out a stop watch and time your battery discharging and compare every 10% what BatteryBar says you have remaining vs. Windows and see which one is right. |

RE: wrong remaning time.Wrong full time.
i did so and windows is giving right time.let me give you another example i left to battery until got flat.battery bar shows 5 min left and warns me to charge my battery but windows shows 1 hour.windows was right i used my laptop 1 hour and battery got flat.battery bar was standing 5 min all the time.so i think something is wrong with battery bar.

RE: wrong remaning time.Wrong full time.
It's possible there's an error in the battery profile data. You can check it by right-clicking on going to Battery Profile Graph... (in the Pro version). In Preferences you can go to Tools and reset the battery data.
If you're on the free version, it's quite a bit more difficult to reset the battery profile data since it'll just resave the file while it's running. You basically have to close the Explorer.exe process and then delete %APPDATA%\BatteryBar.Profiles.xml. You can also follow the steps here to generate a debug log to send to me. You can also post the BatteryBar.Profiles.xml file here for me to look at. |

RE: wrong remaning time.Wrong full time.
You can find the files located in %APPDATA%\BatteryBar. Zip them up and attach them here.
