Wink Battery bar does not calculate runtime
Hello and thankyou to developers for this program Smile

I'm using battery bar with my netbook hp mini 311c for near two years and after I changed battery(to non-original) it continies working. But then, after I reinstalled windows xp sp3, it suddenly stopped calculating discharging statistics. I made near 5 charge-discharge processes and program still says that "Full runtime: calculating...". I thought that there is some problem with battery profile, so I updated to 30-day trial pro version and resetted saved profiles. Then I again made some charge-discharge processes. Nothing changed. Battery profile graph is clean too.

The only resident programs I`m using are microsoft antivirus and notebook hardware control(the only program that can control fan of my netbook).

What can be wrong? Version of Battery bar is last available: v3.5.4

RE: Battery bar does not calculating runtime
The image you posted shows that the your computer is currently connected to external power and is fully charged. It appears that no data has been collected to determine full runtime or discharge/recharge time remaining. In order to calculate those values you need to use the battery. I suggest a discharge to at least 20% (with BatteryBar running) and a full recharge back to 100% (again, with BatteryBar running, not in sleep mode).

Since you say that you've already done this, then the best thing to do is create a debug log and submit it. The instructions can be found here: http://osirisdevelopment.com/wiki/Submit_a_bug_report

RE: Battery bar does not calculating runtime
I have discharged battery by 10% for now and sent you program's report. Is it enough to say what is not working with calculation? If not - I`ll record log from full discharge.

RE: Battery bar does not calculating runtime
Update to problem: I found and installed older version of batterybar (3.4.3) and it works normally. It took near 10% of battery to calculate full runtime of battery. So, I think, problem is with newer version

RE: Battery bar does not calculating runtime
The currently release has been out for quite some time now and there have only been a handful of issues reported regarding time calculation. So while there may be an issue, it seems to be a very uncommon situation. The log files generated by the older version will be very helpful to diagnose the issue so I can fix it.

RE: Battery bar does not calculate runtime
Hello Chris,

On my HP/Compaq Mini 110 the runtime calculation also stopped working, i reinstalled the last version, but no luck.

I noticed that the Profile Graph did not work either, the BatteryBar.Profiles.xml file logs no percentage entry's.

I did a full battery calibration, after the reinstall, with my laptop and BatteryBar running, but this did als not solved the issue.

See attached screenshot.

A also did a send you a Debug Log.

RE: Battery bar does not calculate runtime
I didn't receive the log file so there must be an issue with the feedback system when we moved hosts. I'm going to take a look at that and see what's going on.

RE: Battery bar does not calculate runtime
I had the same problem on my HP Notebook, running Windows XP. I had an older version of Battery Bar (3.5.1) and uninstalled 3.5.4 and replaced it, and the older version works fine. What I'd like to know is if there's a way to modify the program in the registry to stop checking for updates. I see no reason to upgrade - 3.5.1 does everything I need it to do, and it works great.
